Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and oversee case calendars, ensuring key deadlines and milestones are accurately tracked and updated.
  • Provide guidance on procedural requirements by researching and interpreting court rules and filing practices.
  • Review and manage legal correspondence, notices, and case-related documentation.
  • Prepare reports, audit case information for accuracy, and ensure data integrity across records.
  • Support departmental initiatives and assist leadership with various administrative and operational projects.

Skills

  • Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures, especially in litigation practice areas.
  • Understanding of federal and state court rules.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively across all levels of the Firm.
  • Willingness to work overtime or travel if needed.

Experience/Education

  • Associate Degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred.
  • Experience with CompuLaw or similar rules-based calendaring systems required.
  • Minimum of (3) three years of docketing, administrative, or paralegal experience in a law firm setting.
